No doubt you’ve heard the rumors – Proenza Schouler’s Target line is already available on the internet, and all it takes is some savvy clicking to find it…
Well, Fashionista’s done some investigating, and here’s the real deal:
For about four hours yesterday, the Proenza line was available on the Internet, thanks to a handy loop in the web called “Shop Local,” where you can place orders at a specific Target store instead of their national database. Once Target realized that thousands of shoppers were already buying Proenza, they pulled the entire line from the web, and it remains hidden until Thursday, when it will be properly sold on Target.com.
The truly crazed can go to eBay, where some sneaky (unethical? gross?) shoppers are already reselling their ordered goods. Or you can camp out in front of Opening Ceremony in New York City, where the line debuts this Friday morning.
Until then, if you’re really itching to buy some designer Target, here are your options: shop the Behnaz Sarafpour clearance sale on the national website now… or go here and take your chances…
