
Lily Allen’s appearance at Chanel last season may have mixed up her fans, the fashion press, and us (we’re both): Lily’s not starring Chanel’s new ad campaign; she’s starring in her own ad campaign for a future New Look collection!
WWD reported the story this morning: Lily will work with New Look designers on a capsule line of clothes; Ellen Von Unwerth just shot the ads; Karl Lagerfeld is not involved.
As for the actual clothes, we expect a lot of prom dresses, some tiaras, some filthy sneakers, and - please, please, please - gorgeously cheesy hoop earrings, painted gold and bent into the shape of hearts. Unlike Christopher Kane’s line for Top Shop, you can’t buy it online, so let this be a plea:
Opening Ceremony, please import some Lily for New Look to your store!
