Girl Of Your Dreams

lula.jpgFashion obsessives around the globe are already aching for a new issue of Lula, the magazine founded by Vogue princess Leith Clark, and subtitled “Girl Of Our Dreams.” While the glossy won’t hit shelves until March 9th, London style elite got a sneak preview last night at the Cobden Club in London.

Sadie Frost, Zandra Rhodes, and scores of stylists in skinny white pants turned out for the party, fueled by champagne and cupcakes, plus a midnight screening of a new flick with Sarah Sophie Flicker and Zooey Deschanel.

Though our Lula copy is currently getting flown across the ocean, we do have a few preview snippets thanks to our spies…

At least one spread was inspired by cupcakes, which makes us think of Paper Magazine’s new Fashion Food Feature.

For one story, the Lula Girls were sent scouring for vintage tap shoes, and photos of girls in their favorite dance outfits.

Look for Valentine Fillor Courdier, the perennial face of Lula, to grace the pages again this season…

Now all we need is an advance of Lindsay Lohan’s new Pop cover, shot by Mert & Marcus and sadly not yet leaked, and we will be full of glossy London gorgeousness.

The film at the Lula party was nothing to do with Erin Featherston. It is called Lay Down Lean. It is a short film made by the Belles of The Black Diamond Field and Leith Clark from Lula Magazine. It has nothing to do with Erin featherston.

Also no one has seen the new issue. Not even the editors!

Hi Emma,

Maybe they showed two movies? My friend works with Leith and she was at the party - she said Erin's movie with Zooey was playing!

Also, we know about future spreads because we have friends who helped with some of them, and in one instance, I scoured all my old family photos looking for tap shoes...

Sounds like you were at the party too; so jealous.
