carine alaia.jpgThe video of an Azzedine Alaia fitting on Cathy Horyn’s blog is slow and very simple, but it cracks open the fashion imagination: this is what they do on every woman, for every piece of clothing they make.
If you’re not spellbound by the stitches, consider Carine Roitfeld and her countless Alaia costumes – and therefore, the hours she’s logged standing in their studio getting sewn. Wonder how long her corsets took…
(also, side note: During Fashion Week, Cathy Horyn mentioned that her son, Jacob, was working on some video projects – could this be one of them?)
