We’ve always been a ShopBop fan because they seem to have clothes nobody else finds – who knew Charlotte Ronson made those amazing wedges at left?
But now the web boutique is realizing it could get even bigger.
A designer friend tells us that soon, ShopBop will revamp its entire site with an upscale boutique, where more luxe brands will sell along with their usual stash of C&C t-shirts and DVF dresses.
The site might also get an infusion of editorial content, so it can compete with Net-A-Porter, whose homepage is a virtual fashion spread of runway shots, trend montages, and editorial anecdotes.
We expect ShopBop will even have a blog like Bluefly and Sephora – though it will probably have a heavier emphasis on Nicole and Lindsay, who seem to be the style icons for everything ShopBop sells.
