Tops for Tory

Is Tory Burch the most influential woman in fashion?
Forbes.com thinks so.
She’s the only woman that makes their list of Fashion Tastemakers, joining Marc Jacobs, Hedi Slimane, Christian Louboutin, and Coach’s Reed Krakoff in the winner’s circle. Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez are the youngest on the list, thanks largely – according to Forbes – to their Target line.
But Tory is singled out for her understanding of today’s woman – Saks president Ron Frasch says “out of the American designers today, very few if any have brought to us as a retailer what she had brought.”
Patent leather ballet flats, spangled shifts and cardigans, and a surprising but growing group of younger, hipper fans, thanks to the subtle PR skills of Tory’s teen daughter Alexandra?
Okay. We’ll buy that. But where on the list is DVF?

Is it just me, or does every girl in New York have those shoes now?

But not so expensive on smartbargains.com.

i just saw knock offs of those dumb flats somewhere recently for like $40, but now i can’t remember where

jeffrey campbell makes them but the gold hardware is a fleur de lis, not the signature tory burch cross…i think they’re super cute and come in more colors than burch’s but yeah i guess they’re considered “knockoffs” even though the design is different..they sell them in the stores along 23rd st

Filene’s basement has a ton of Tory Burch stuff for very cheap. The sequined top that’s on bluefly for $119 is at F.B. for $29.
