When I was seven, I had a pink Esprit sweatshirt that I refused to take off. It was huge, and in the winter I wore it with jeans and in the summer, I think I convinced my mom it was alright to wear it with heart-print tights and sneakers, and that’s it. I was an early scenester.
I suspect a lot of girls have the same memory – their Esprit sweatshirt that defined being a girl. Whether that memory is enough to generate a comeback is hard to say, especially since the rest of the brand’s clothes seem inspired by The Hills girls.
Esprit’s heritage shirt sells for $19.50 at all Esprit stores, and their website. It doesn’t come as a giant pink sweatshirt… yet.
