We like the international rumors that Hedi Slimane is heading to PPR-Gucci Group for two special reasons:
One, it means that Salma Hayek could launch the brand on the red carpet. Now that she's married to PPR's president, François-Henri Pinault, she's basically a brand ambassador.
Two, PPR has also just invested in Puma, and so far, Alexander McQueen is the only big designer to pair with the footwear brand.
We hear if Hedi starts his own women's line with the company, a crossover project would be quite easy - and perhaps even expected.
And if Hedi does do a Puma line, those will be the skinniest sneakers ever...
