Tipster JM is thrilled that fashion photographer Carter Smith just landed his first feature film.
The frequent snapper of Gisele and Milla will direct Come Closer, a thriller based on the Sara Gran novel, this Fall.
No stars have been attached to the picture yet, but Smith's high fashion background makes us wonder:
If he's used to shooting models anyway, wouldn't it make sense to cast a few of them?
Our pick:
Lily Cole, who starred in Smith's cover story for Vogue Nippon and also the front of Vogue Beauty (our favorite shot ever of the model, at left, comes from that spread).
After all, if she had to witness Marilyn Manson courting Evan Rachel Wood on the set of Phantasmagoria, she can certainly relate to something scary.
