We’re quietly crushing on Vogue’s new blog, in part because it tells us this:
“As rumors go this is a hot one. Kate Middleton, formerly of the Prince William and Kate Middleton show, might go to work for Tom Ford as some sort of in-house consultant or public-relations person. Since she likes fashion (she works as an accessories buyer for Jigsaw, the British clothing chain), the thinking is that some clever fashion house will score a big public-relations coup by hiring her… And if, maybe as a favor or a kindness owed his ex, young William supports young Kate’s new job by wearing one of her designer’s suits or, even better, turning up at a fashion show, she will be worth her weight in publicity gold.”
I don’t think Will will ever turn up at Kate’s fashion show, but the idea of Ms. Middleton moving into a high profile job at a major fashion house is… so smart, it’s amazing it hasn’t already happened.
Of course, Kate would have to start looking stylish, but if Vogue can embrace a juicy, party-packed blog of their own, anything seems possible…

This reminds me of Carolyn Bessette at Calvin Klein, although she worked there before meeting and marrying JFK Jr. But you just know Calvin loved it whenever the press referred to her working there.
