Shot her: Because she was dressed to go out and to stay warm, and succeeded at both. Also: the tights and the smile!

She says: “I’m from Los Angeles, but I just came to New York City to work. My style is different than the other girls here, but I think that’s great! I like to keep it a little funky, a little fresh - what’s the point in getting dressed up if you’re not going to have fun? Just stay cool, you know?”

AHH, Faran! Do you think it's edgy or something not to hold the camera straight? I like your picks, you have a good eye for clothing, but not for composition. Its easier to see what you're talking about if I don't have to crane my neck. This isn't fashion photography and you're not a photographer; leave it to the pros.

This happens on The Sartorialist whenever he shoots really pretty girls too. All these "anonymous" commenters come on and say they don't like the outfit. Get over it, this is fun, and so what if she's prettier than you?

I wouldn't have phrased it quite like Nikki, but I'm not buying the "she looks stupid" comment.

Why don't you stop being anonymous, take a photo of yourself in your favorite outfit, fill out the Streetwalker format yourself, and send it in?

Then you can show us what you think would belong in this section.

She's adorable. It looks like she has taste in clothes but at the moment she looks kind of casually thrown together. The blue and white top is a little too flat looking. Good for laying around the house or strolling into starbucks at 8 in the morn. But no good for a night out unless she's going to a frat party or something.
