Our favorite news today is that Charlotte Ronson is collaborating with Estee Lauder on a makeup line.
The downtown designer will release a limited-edition set of colors in her name later this year, which will be available at the Charlotte Ronson store (and hopefully a few other places, for those of you who don’t live in Soho).
We’ve always had dreams of a Charlotte Ronson Lipsmacker, but this seems just as good. We can’t wait to see the colors, but we imagine they’ll be half pastel and half neon, just like most of Charlotte’s clothes.
If you’re as obsessed with the Ronson collection as we are, check back tomorrow, when we interview Charlotte for the latest installment of Inside the Designer’s Studio. We promise it will be really pretty.

That is rockin' news! Can't wait to see the packaging alone. When introducing a limited edition makeup line with a major retailer I presume the big co. modifies existing products to suit a new spin, right?
It seems close to impossible to go through an extensive R&D phase for a small line of product. I'm thinking here of the Gemma Kidd Make Up School line, which I love but seems a little dicey in parts. The "extreme mascara" was so oily and runny, for example.
Anyway, hoping CharRo ends up with high quality, innovative products, and sweet packaging.
