Fashion needs a bit of fun and frivolity. If this was done in NYC, the only 'folks' that could get away with it are Todd Oldham, Barney's New York/Simon Doonan, and Jonathan Adler. On the flip side of that coin, you can't really wear them out & about in NYC without appearing like a total poser verging on loser! I think their cute for what they are, their right for the moment.
