We’ve gotten a few emails about Kirsten Dunst’s shiny dress from the Spiderman 3 premiere. Here are our responses:
1. To Amy: The dress is old-school Versace, and was made when Gianni was still in the House.
2. To Keisha: Yes, we do think she looks amazing.
3. To Jess: Please don’t go looking for a cheaper dress that looks like this. We have seen Kirsten in person and she’s thinner than a Nabisco wafer.
Also, Kirsten has amazingly pale hair and skin, which work well to offset the severity of this dress. And that silver sparkle could turn garish very easily. If the dress were cut cheaply instead of by Versace, it would hang poorly and resemble those things you put in your car windows to keep it from overheating at the beach.
This is a home run for Kirsten but you might want to take your silver craving to the shoe department instead.
These pumps by Shelly’s of London are dazzling in the same trash-tastic way, but they’re under $70 and work for all body types. Pair them with a Calvin Klein sheath dress instead of this Versace tarp and you’ll look like a star too.
Ok?

you rock.
OMG how hideous are the multi-coloreds?
H&M recently did a very cute silver sequined shift minidress that is quite flattering. The dress she has on doesn’t look expensive–I’ve seen cheap versions that are on par.
Kristen, cut your bangs!
and bling out those l’il snaggle tooths! gold crowns on Drunkst’s upper incisors would rawk w/ that dress.
