There’s a fun debate happening in Australia, where their designer golden boy, Josh Goot, is launching a Target range.
The issue isn’t whether a young designer should have a mass market line – rather, it’s that Josh’s Target collection looks thisclose to his actual runway clothes, which cost about five times the Target range.
There will always be arguments about quality and fit, but if you were choosing between a Crayola green tank dress for $400 and a Crayola green tank dress for $30… for most women, it’s not that hard to pick.
Josh’s Target line won’t be available in the States, but his actual clothes are sold in Henri Bendel. His Spring collection is particularly gorgeous, and the silver dresses especially seem worth the investment – unless the shipping costs from eBay Australia get reduced…
