Keira Knightley: Half Coco, Half Pete

We’ll just call it The Chanel Weekend.

Yesterday, we revealed that Audrey Tatou will play Coco in an upcoming biopic of the designer.

Today, thanks to darling reader Lina, we’ve got a sneak peek at the Coco Mademoiselle ads, which have just started to run in France.

The ads star Keira Knightley, who took over for Kate Moss last season in the campaign. Ironically, the ads seem to be styled with a slight homage to Pete Doherty:

Check out the odd little hat she’s clutching, as if she’s about to shoot up and whisper some wayward love song into a crowd. Still, she does look beautiful -

Is she a front-runner to land the other Chanel films?

Meanwhile, yes, we will have something to say about the Chanel Cruise show tomorrow - but not what everybody else is saying, so don’t worry…

Hey, I know it's a lazy Sunday, and any updates to this site during off hours are greatly appreciated, but your post is a little haphazard, lady!

1. every weekend is Chanel weekend
2. Variety "revealed" and you re-posted it
3. odd little HAT not had
4. ...land ANY of the other Chanel films

I definitely missed the keira boat. I mean, yea she's cute and all but I don't see how that warrants 2 Vogue covers and now a Chanel campaign. Shes just blaaaah.

why don't you post larger pictures in the comment webpage, that's be really good i think. cause it is usually really small pictures and we want to see keira in reater detail. :) and all the other pictures

And isn't the bowler hat the same one that Kate was wearing in one of those Coco Mademoiselle ads a while back? I don't think that's new.

I'm no Kiera fan, but she looks good here. Her upcoming Vogue cover, less so. Don't get the hype though. Aren't there any other young actresses that deserve the same coverage?

I think they chose the worst photo from the Vogue to be on the cover. Some of the others are absolutely gorgeous.

As for the Chanel... I don't think it's very original or inspired, either.

I didn't get Keira, except that she's gorgeous, until Pride and Prejudice. Now I'm willing to see her again in a movie, but style icon? No.
