Which Celeb Should Make Clothes?

The Fug Yourself girls have some fun things to say about Amanda Bynes' new clothing line:

"We can't imagine how Bynes will fare given that her biggest onscreen fashion moment consisted of two "hilarious" montages at the same flea market in What a Girl Wants. Besides, Colin Firth is in it... What does Bynes bring to the deal, aside from maybe Colin Firth's phone number?"

While we all know that real designers come from long hours at a sewing machine and not expert poses on the red carpet, the trend of celebrities "designing" their own lines isn't going away yet.

And so, we wonder:

Which celebrity should have their own clothing line?

We think Michelle Williams would do wonders with a Rogan partnership...

I would actually love to see Michelle Williams do some sort of collaboration. She has this understated elegance, and I'm curious as to how it would translate into a collection.

Mary-Kate for D&G. She could make it more gothicy Lily Allen for Urban Decay (i know that's a makeup brand, but come on, shes the queen of eyeshadow)

Parker Posey should do a dark, quirky line of yoga wear for indie queens, rock chicks and shoegazer Silver Lakers. The cutesy pastels of Lucy and Lulu Lemon have got to go.

If there had to be another celeb line (emphasis on the word if), I guess Kirsten Dunst would be a good choice. She would probably be able to sketch, since she has taken lots of art classes and she definately has a quirky style that isn't cultivated by a stylist. It'd be interesting to see what she could come up with.

Chloe Sevigney comes to mind...not because I covet her wardrobe, just because her style stands out.

I think Kelis has really funky style, and is much beloved by Europe...but I think she is already coming out with a clothing line...she designed some of the stuff in her Gucci ad-esque "Bossy" video

I used to work for a celebrity clothing line, and all that the bootylicious celebrity does is get checks every month. All it takes is a talented designer who can capture the essence of the celebrity's style. It's basically a joke.

I'm worried the "bootylicious" line you slipped in means you worked for the House of Dereon. In which case, yes, it is basically a joke.

I'd love for Chloe Sevigny to do something like what Kate Moss did for Top Shop, but she doesn't have that ubiquitous star power yet.

I'd love for Kanye West to do something. As far as men go, he's got fresh style. Better yet, Paul Simonon from the Clash!

chloe sevigny (sp??) would do a great vintage-inspired line i think.

and sienna miller's already doing one, but she would be one of my options if she wasn't.

I actually saw the Amanda Bynes line for S&B and it happens to make sense. It definitely for a tween-teen customer who does know who she is and I think that's who S&B wants to target with this. The clothes are cheap and cute and great for the kids.

Now for me and anyone over 16... I wouldn't by ANY line because it was designed by a celebrity. yuck.
