If there is a Phillip Lim sample sale this year (there wasn't in the fall), it will likely be mobbed. It will be promoted on far more widely read forums than this blog (NY Magazine, NY Post, Daily Candy, Time Out NY), miss, so I don't think it is going to matter if Faran posts it. Alas, we'll all be fighting for what crumbs we can get while the ebayers fight with us so they can gouge people online.

Maybe not. I didn't see a lot of info on the fashion blogs about yesterday's Manolo Blahnik sample sale. The first two hours were crowded, but when my friend left at 10:45, it was pretty quiet. I went just at closing and it wasn't a mob scene.

Manolos are great. I own a couple of pairs mostly for work purposes as they're more "ladies who lunch" as opposed to fashion forward or trendy but they are so comfortable and apart from the basic leather pumps that are nothing special, I get compliments on my other pairs all the time.

You've got to be kidding me? Over? Why? The shoes are classic, stylish and sexy. They make my long legs look even longer. Now, give me a Christian Louboutin sale and I'm calling in sick.

And Phillip Lim's sale info will be everywhere, trust me--he's so hot right now that his publicists will make sure everyone knows about it. The PR people will send it to the press and it will be released for this week's publications and it will be widely blogged. Manolo doesn't have the buzz he used to have, even if the shoes are still popular.
