Cartier's "Love Day" may be tomorrow, but Andrew Andrew isn't feeling any of it. The adorable art duo launched their "Love Strong" rubber wrist bands last year - a cross between Lancce Armstrong's "Live Strong" band and the infamous Cartier bracelets - at Art Basel, and got them sold at Colette and the Future Perfect. Now Cartier is suing the team for copyright infringement, despite the fact that the bracelets are neon yellow, bendy, bouncy, and completely impossible to mix up with the real thing. Still, the suit reminds us of the "Jelly Kelly" problem of 2003, when rubber bags shaped like Hermes totes showed up, sold out, and eventually got shut down by a Hermes lawsuit. We hope that doesn't happen here, and wish Andrew Andrew an easy victory in their case. The bracelets are inspired and awfully funny, and anyway, we really really want one.
