The Times Magazine has a piece about M/M (Paris), the graphic design team that redesigned Vogue Paris for Carine Roitfeld. Along wih Alix Browne’s profile of the duo, there’s a stream of their past work, including Balenciaga invitations and V Magazine spreads.
Also included: This shot of Christy Turlington from an ad campaign, with a graphic of the model’s face that looks a lot like our favorite necklace.
We’re not accusing Alex + Chloe of stealing their Kate graphic from the shot (not the way they’ve stolen the Chanel logo for their pieces!), but looking at the two images together, the influence is clear…

M/M Paris are one of my favorite designers ever, and while I can see the similarity, I’m sure it’s completely coincidential… I mean, this ad is so much older than their business, right?
oooohhh…I have that same Alex + Chloe Kate necklace too. Love it so much. But everytime I wear it my boyfriend says it looks like a BAPE image. Boo…
I think both are very Andy Warhol.
