Agyness Has a Real Name

baby aggie.jpg
We are ashamedly obsessed with this new piece of information:

Agyness Deyn is really Laura Hollins.

That’s the main shocker in the Daily Mail’s expose of the model, who changed her name because of her mother’s belief in numerology, and DNA’s belief that “Laura Hollins” wouldn’t book a Vogue cover.

The rest of the article is a little bit dippy - we’re not sure Agyness is “Britain’s great fashion hope” (Christopher Kane? Basso and Brooke? Giles? Lily Donaldson? Lily Cole? Lily Allen?) and we’re even less certain that the former Miss Hollins “frequents the trendiest nightclubs” - because we saw her in the Lower East Side this weekend at the cheesiest bar ever - which made us like her even more.

Still, it’s worth it just for the snapshot at left, which shows the famous face at age five.

All together now: Oooh!

I love her, but I can't help but think what will become of her when she changes her hairstyle. Can she survive without the peroxide crop?

Also she's 24, not 21.

Her real name has been on her wiki page for a while. I didn't know that was like a secret thing.

I agree with Jordan. Old info and does her having a stage name change her coolness? And no way is she 24, unless she's already had work done on her face to hide any sign of age.

I'll do some digging into the "true" age of Agyness, but I think many 24-year-olds are capable of looking 21, or even 17.

Conversely, girls with sun damaged skin, eating disorders, or too much makeup can look much older even when they're in high school.

I have to agree with Faran, I bartended when I was 23, and everyone thought I had just graduated high school. Some people just look young.

Saw her in the East Village last week. She was wearing Balenciagia platforms with the tank metal things on the bottom. She's tall enough as it is, but with those heels, she was literally over the top. Looked great.
