We’ve been skipping around town in round-toe flats and pumps, wiggling our toes in comfort and delight. But lately, we’ve noticed that pointy flats seem to be edging their way back in – we spotted these pairs out and about downtown. Unlike the horrifying needle-toed stilettos of the '90s, these points are more triangular than knife-like. The key to styling this look is to combine the pointies with skinny knee-length denim cutoffs or a more tailored pair, as above. Maybe it’s because we wear a size 9.5 and anything pointed makes us look like the Wicked Witch of the West, but we are not going to be curtailing our toe-freedom anytime soon. Are you ready to return to pointy, or do you think round-toe is still going strong? Or do you play for both teams? --ALISON COOL
