We love Erin Fetherston.
We love Target.
We love the way Erin put blonde wigs on all her models for this shoot.
And we love this collection, but you’ll have to wait for it:
The beautiful coats, dresses, and leggings don’t hit stores until November, but our secret sources sent us images today.
Enjoy, and get ready: Libertine for Target hits shelves in two weeks!

Besides the black sweater coat….NO.

I agree heather. But I do like the dresses.

Cute, but it also doesn’t look like anything you couldn’t get at H&M. And it doesn’t look particularly fashion-forward. Aren’t we all tired of jumper dresses, leggings, Lolita shifts and bubble/sack silhouettes ALREADY? Aren’t we going to have thoroughly had our fill by November?
Is it just me, or does Target have some requirement that every Go International collection have some sort of ruffle-front button-down shirt? I’ve seen an incarnation of this piece in like EVERY collection. In fact, I own the Behnaz Sarafpour verzh.

Haha Anna–you might be onto something because the Temperley collection features a shirt with a ruffle-type front. But yeah…I echo the words “cute” and “adorable” for this collection…I don’t think I’d buy it all for fear of looking cute an adorable.

Oh yay! Leggings, trapeze, babydoll mini-dresses will still be around this November. As a leggy person I’m beyond happy.

Love the 70′s

i am DEFINETLEY saving up my money for this…

this is soooo much better than her fall collection!

Cute stuff, for sure, but about two seasons too late on the whole “dolly baby” look that was so hot about a year ago. Her photos look they came off of the auctions from some of the popular eBay vintage clothing sellers.
Luella’s collection is still the best though I am looking forward to the one Keenan Duffty is doing for the guys.

Um no. Unless I’m trying to attract Humbert Humbert (read the book) why the flip would I want to dress like a little girl?
Oh and the blonde wig thing isn’t original. Jefferey did it on Project Runway.

Looks like the Fetherston photos, complete with the blonde wig, pigeon-toed model, and mostly babydoll clothes.

Looks a little familiar, from the blonde wig to the pigeon-toed stance and the 70′s dresses.

Some of these are a little too “Alice in Wonderland” for me, but I love the look of them, anyway. The coat is to die for…

Dear Old People, did it occur to you that this collection is not for you? Maybe it’s for the Zooey-lites who never had their 1970′s moment. This designer serves Rosemary’s Baby, not Rosemary.

looks very much like the things they would always have in the front of H&M for $49 last spring

i can’t even believe that target would give erin her own line considering how unknown she is. but then again her clothing is super commercial and uncreative so it makes sense. i agree about the 70s mccall patterns! but remember, erin does not even know how to sew! she simply hooked up with a wealthy, well connected man and POOF she has a big clothing line.

I lovelovelove it! I cannot wait!

Whoa. I thought Target marketed some interesting fashion philosophy and great alternative to high-priced dept. stores, but this line looks appropriate for teenagers only, not anyone who is in their early 20s and 30s, and wants to appear their age.

I loved the first coat and the purple ruffle dress. The red dress is nice too. I agree is too girlish but pieces can be vamped if paired with stilettos or sexy fabrics. Like it for my lolita photo shots.
Any clue of which stores will have this collection?

All Target stores will have it!

Ha! I totally called it: rust/dark orange is gonna be big, until everyone figures out that it looks good on almost nobody. http://www.superflippy.net/fashion/?p=41

I’m young, I’m average hight, and I’m skinny. Yet, I don’t even think these clothes would look good on me. Most of them look like they’d be good for adding 15 lbs to your frame. While they do have a garishly cute appeal, the 70′s are over, so I don’t understand why we have to keep wearing it’s clothes. I feel like I should also note that I never lived through the 70′s, and was very young in the 80′s, but I don’t need a 70′s moment and would rather just live in the now. I hate to sound so negative, but none of this looks like it would make me look or feel attractive, and cute is best done by babies and kittens. In November I’d rather spend my money on Roberto Cavalli for H&M

This look is cute for the 12-15 year olds but does not work at all for anyone over that age bracket. What about some nice designs for individuals who want to look like adults?

Wow. Since when did it become fashionable for women to wear such shapeless things that are supposed to be dresses? And leggings? The most unsexy, unattractive and extremely tacky piece of clothing someone could put on themselves has actually been made tackier with those hearts. Only question: Who freaking wears this? I don’t think the bracket 12-15 does it justice. I’m 16, and I have a great body and long legs, but still I would never wear something this ugly! I have self-respect, taste and a brain, don’t I? I think the age bracket for these clothes is more like 4-10.
PS There is some wearable things here, like the cute shoes, scarf with the hearts at the end, but seriously, I would not be able to hold my laugh if I saw anyone who’s not a child in the rest of the collection.

I absolutely love this collection! I think it’s miles better than some of the Target’s previous capsule collections. Do you happen to know if the whole line will be available online or just in the stores?

Another example of “masstige”? No. Just no.

Mommy stopped picking out your outfits for a reason, don’t let “high” fashion be your new mommy…It’d break your real mother’s heart anyway.

This is pathetic, and uncreative. You might as well have plucked these girls out of the 60′s. Fashion is really going downhill. God forbid you think of your own original style.

preach it, anonymous sister! :)
but I actually think the blend of the thermal leggings – so Rachel Bilson at Starbucks – and the structured jumpers – so Kirsten about town – are pretty sweet.

All this stuff just looks so….. cheap….. it’s because of the colors…. I have nothing against EF’s actual runway line but this just looks… forced for target…..
I know this girl.. We went to school together and this just looks like something she would do…. Just because you are selling to a cheaper market you don’t have to necessarly pick these colors…. It would be way more style with something more less red and heart driven… Would make it more sophisticated…. But they probably did market research and figured out who the customer is who would shop at target….

Most of it is way too young looking for me, but I do like the white coat, grey turtleneck & leggings (for layering). I wonder how the quality will be though. I always like what I see in the Go pics online – then I get to the store & see them in person and hate how they’re made. I really dislike the current Libertine collection, but can’t wait to see the Erin Fetherson collection (next week).

its very Alice in Wonderland, i LOVE IT!
