Ever since we first saw the metallic bike shorts at American Apparel, we’ve been waiting to see if anyone on the street would dare to wear them. They’re tight, they’re short, they’re neon, AND they’re reflective. Not exactly a go-to-item for when you want to grab something to go do errands.
Finally it happened. We spotted the bike shorts in Union Square peeking out of the bottom of this girl’s denim suspender look.
While we could see these shorts going tragically amiss – with a short top for example, or with anything else metallic or reflective – we say she pulled them off!
What do you think? And would you try it?

How about making the photos not quite so big? This took up my entire screen at work and there was still room to scroll over! Very indiscreet, Fashionista!
