Streetwalker: Packing Heat

helen.jpg
Helen, 27, retailer

Got Her: Waiting in line for Shakespeare in the Park.

Stalked Her: Because her formal dress and fanny pack combination were thrilling.

Shot Her: Because she’s breaking several other key rules, and making them work: a long dress and flats on a petite person; dark lipliner on light lips; pink pedicures and red shoes… and all of it looks amazing!

She Says: “I buy a lot of my accessories off the street. This one was like seven dollars from one of those stalls downtown… and the dress is from H&M!”

We Say:: Leader of the pack?

Absolutely right! she looks great! i love how the headband matches her big bangles, and her fannypack gives her dress a grecian feel the way it drapes over it AND matches her thongs! =D her toes look so nice too! and she's petite? 0.0 well, being an asian girl myself i guess that our 'petite-o-meters' are different =p but nonetheless - A*!

I love her outfit (girl can rock a fanny pack!) but wish she'd kept the makeup a little more natural and summery. Dark lipliner makes everyone look old.

yes, hair and makeup are quite severe. love the rest. and that her fanny pack is worn more like a hip pocket - or was that a hot pocket?

Hair and makeup not doing it for me either, but everything else is completely right. Her yellow headband and purple dress make me want to paint my nails and toes those colors.

This is the streetwalker I most want to look like. Just a little less makeup and she would look perfectly natural and unique!

Am I the only person not feeling this? Her roots look terrible. Her bracelets remind me of rolls of boxing tape, and the hare krishna-on-the-go fanny pack matched with this purple dress is A MESS. The eyeliner might look good on Siouxsie Sioux, but not so hot here.

Yikes! I think this is actually pretty terrible. I was all about the girl in the wool coat last week, but ew! This doesn't seem like you guys would like it...

matthew is onto something. here's hoping that double-decker with cheese slung around our fair lady's waist is housing a fashion fairy or tiny wood nymph with powers so incomprehsibile that they just might transform this hazardous, color-confused victim of style into coco herself.

uuuuhhhh.... bad. Let's NOT encourage anyone to wear a fannypack. I love the color of the dress on her, I love the bracelets. Very Diana Vreeland. *Sigh* her eye makeup reminds me of jr. high girls with their first eyeliner- overkill. Cute shoes though.

Her makeup ages her at least ten years. Yuck. Love the purple, though.

Agree with the hair -- wished it matched the color below. Fanny pack not sexy either, just there to hold up the dress -- doesn't do her justice. Bangles help hold her hand steady, so no water slippage. Other bangle is vurry purty and looks like it was purchased at Teresa's Exclusive Gifts. Giant teeth too. What appears to be lip liner was caused by smooching with lipstick covered lips -- very 1987ish. Basically, should have shot her from the back (and not for the reasons stated above).
