Beyonce’s clothing empire just spawned another line, but she doesn’t think it’ll make you look like a star.
Instead, Beyonce’s mother Tina tells WWD that the line was inspired by “the forgotten woman,” noting that “some of Beyonce’s backup singers are plus size women” - and why shouldn’t they have the opportunity to wear the animal print and skin-tight shiny bodices seen on her daughter?
Enter “Miss Tina,” the newest range from Beyonce and Co.
Aimed at 30 - 50 year old women, the collection debuts on the Home Shopping Network this August, and includes some very cute sweater tunics, an unfortunate rippled blazer, and more leopard print than the San Diego Zoo.
Certain pieces from the collection are great on their own, but altogether, the line reminds us of Hillary Banks’ wardrobe from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air…
Of course, the fabulous Hillary would never have taken those Balenciaga leggings and turned them into a Robocop fantasy…
