Come on, Malene

what's marc got to do with it.jpg
Danish designer Malene Birger is popular with European and Asian fashion cognoscenti, and her latest collection proves why:

The newest batch of accessories for Autumn/Winter 2007 are outstanding!

Although the only three standalone Birger shops are in Norway, Denmark, and France, the Williamsburg and West Village boutique Otte occasionally carries pieces from her womenwear line.

We really hope they pick up this necklace – black silk satin with silver chains – for Fall.

We think it's the perfect accessory for the high-contrast black and white styles we just saw on the runway, and it can also dress up the t-shirt and jeans look that we're never really ready to abandon.

Hopefully, the necklace will hit boutiques in the States by August, and you should all email us if you see it.

Otherwise, we’ll be scouring the net…

i know this is not the case, but my mind won't let me visualize this item as anything other than the worst top ever.

barney's co-op sometimes carries malene birger, as does net-a-porter on even sparse-r occasions. though DIY might be the best way to go if it never shows up around NYC

It's a scarflace! I think I saw this on QVC or HSN.
