Gwen, the Magazine

gwen sings.jpg
When Jane folded, Ms. Pratt told The New York Times that she was planning a new magazine launch for teens and ’20somethings.

What she didn’t mention?

That the launch may be with Gwen Stefani, pop star, L.A.M.B lover, and aspiring media empress - at least according to the Sassy girls.

If the coupling is true, it means Jane has her first cover girl, Gwen has another outlet for her entrepreneurial cravings, and whomever gets hired will have the two blondest bosses in the world.

We bet the soundtrack for the office will be killer, but wonder which company would front the glossy - Hearst has the Oprah magazine, but maybe Time Warner is a better fit for Gwen, since it already owns a record label?

Also: Will a magazine that lumps 10th graders together with 22-year-olds be a success?

Well… both groups of girls own Harajuku Girls tees (and so do I, at 25…)

Considering her LAMB line isn't doing so well she might want to reconsider and refocus instead of spreading herself so thin.

Ummm, this is news now why? This has been rumored for over a year now. I won't believe it until there is some actual proof.

Can someone please tell me why a woman of Jane Pratt's age continues to do (unsuccessful) project for teens & 20somethings?!?

Am I the only one that thinks Jane Pratt needs to grow up, isn't she in her 40s?!?

I want to smell Gwen's new perfume, L by L.A.M.B. I was totally surprised to see a sexified (and airbrushed) picture of Gwen advertising the new fragrance on the back of this month's Interview Magaznie. I usually am up on all the Gwen news. Has anyone taken a whiff of it yet? Does it smell Harajukulicious?

Jane Pratt really did something when she began Sassy magazine back in 1988. It was the voice of a real generation of young women and some men. I constantly reference her, the time, and just gab about how great it must have been to see Sassy at the newsstands every month, until it was bought out and operated from California instead of New York. Jane magazine was pretty hot as well. Best of luck Jane Pratt and Gwen Stefani. I would love to assist you in any way that I can. Visit me on-line at HOT4CHEAP.BLOGSPOT.COM
