Mario Testino in the past pushed Jacquetta Wheeler and was booked for the Gucci spring and fall 99 campaigns as well as gracing the Vogue Nippon cover. After that she sort of disappeared. Eventually Jacquetta resurfaced and was able to have a longer career than most people expected her to. I do think Jacquetta was more of an expection than the rule. Most models who come in with a big bang usually fizzle after a season or two. Steven Meisel also hyped Kristina Chrastekova who was one of the few models to ever book the Prada and MIU MIU simultaneously.

...and i am STILL not sold on Catherine McNeil. Im beginning to think the hype was too great and she's going to fizzle before she has a chance to do anything.
