Mega-famous men aren’t exactly known for their loyalty to women – witness Brad + Jen, Pete + Kate, and Ryan + Reese.
And while no one would call Sean Combs a one-woman guy, he has managed to stick by Cassie, his protege in the record studio and also the photo studio.
Cassie posed with Diddy on I.D., and now he’s enlisted the pop starlet to model his relaunched women’s line, Sean John.
They sent us a sneak peek of their upcoming campaign, where Cassie tries out some high-waisted jeans.
The good news: Cassie looks gorgeous, the line looks well-made, and we’re pleased Mr. Combs hasn’t abandoned the girl or the label.
The bad news: Those of you shirking the high waist for fall might get frustrated. It’s certainly possible, but you may feel surrounded.

Ah, just what the market needs, another watered down generic “urban” line
It actually already hit a few stores, but I haven’t heard anything about its retail performance….

Diddy already had womans line that was @ Neimans and Bergdorfs that failed according to him and was only going to be a season. Is this a rebirth in under a year?

Yes, he’s resurrecting it for fall.

I think it is actually pretty nice that Diddy has decided to give the “urban fashionista” something to add to her arsenal for fall. Seeing that most if not all the pieces are moderately priced this relaunch of his juniors lines allows for fashion to be exactly what it is meant to be… A SELF EXPRESSION OF ONESELF AND PERSONAL TASTE. We all can’t express ourselves in the Posens, Jacobs, and McQueens of the world. Diddy is just doing what most urban designers are doing best for their market, making fashion more accessible.

i-D together, not I.D.

Thanks, we can never get that straight.

Am I the only one who thinks high-waisted pants don’t really flatter anyone and chop your torso/hips/legs into weird pieces?
If so, carry on.

Yeah, Magda, I hate high-waisted pants…but I wear a lot of high-waisted skirts, adn think they’re adorable.
Also, the jeans pictured are really…um…interesting–they seem to fit like low-rise jeans with an attached corset, which may appeal to mall shoppers.

I think those particular jeans are doing something unfortunate to her crotch area.
