Alert reader Ashley almost bought this braided leather belt at Old Navy, but decided to go home and go shopping on ShopBop instead.
What did she find?
The original version of the Old Navy belt, by Motif 56.
The only difference?
The knock-off comes in brown, too.
Both belts are on sale now; from $138 to $41 and $16.50 to $9.99 (guess which cost what).
One less excuse not to buy the original…

OK... usually I'm all for banning/ burning knock-offs, but lets be realistic here... $140 for a waist belt that honestly will be out of the loop in a season or two? Unless your closet only contains highend pieces or if you have a thing for belts I say save the cash, buy the cheaper version and move on to more important ordeals.

This is sad, but I actually like the Old Navy solid brown better than the Motif's stripes...
