Nautical-inspired stuff is all about big braided sailor rope and little anchors everywhere. We like the ropey stuff, but maybe it's time for us all to move on - from the rope to the tassel. We've been seeing lots of accessories with tassels - necklaces, bags, and shoes. But our vote for the most full-on embrace of the tassel goes to this look from Central St. Martins grad Emma Cook's S/S 2008 collection. The tassel-print jumpsuit is not for the faint of heart, but Cook also uses the same pattern for more wearable dresses in the collection that have the same eye to detail and attention to draping. Also - does anyone else see the printed headwrap as the successor to the turban? If you don't want to pay for international shipping, you can check out her stuff at I Heart - it's the only place in New York that stocks Emma Cook. --ALISON COOL
