Michelle Goes Brooklyn

brunette set.png Every time we see a picture of Michelle Williams, she looks even more Brooklyn. And this before and after shot of her new ‘do from People.com seals the deal.

We know she advocates against Bruce Ratner’s dreadful Atlantic Yards, wears weird/cool Chloe prairie dresses, and lives in a brownstone. But it must have been hard for her being the only blonde in Brooklyn.

Now, with her brunette locks and her Wayfarers on, were not sure if we could even pick her out from the Brooklyn brunch crowd.

Do you like the new Brooklyn Michelle, or do you want your Dawson’s Creek Jen back again?

i loved her as a long blond with soft bangs (see Nylon's dec/jan 2007 issue) but i think the short brunette suits her too. she has delicate features and a clean style, she can pull it off.

Maybe it's for a role. I love the old, blonde Michelle. Long or short, she's so bombshell! The short brown shag is eh. Why make yourself look like everyone else? (especially when everyone else doesn't look as good as you!) Maybe it's a breakover look, and then she'll switch back to fab.
P.S.
Not a fan of the Brooklyn look in general. It's tired. Not fun or sexy. What do you think of it?

i live 5 blocks away from michelle williams and i don't really know what "brooklyn look" means. i would classify it as those really short, yucky bangs that rosario dawson was sporting paired with a pbs tote bag (or any non-profit tote bag), and maybe some repetto jazz shoes, chucks, or tom's. i see a lot of that around.

Oh but she looks so gorgeous in the left picture, why would she frump herself down with that haircut? And the blonde just made her skin look so good!

couldn't agree more. i always thought of her as kind of blah. until she cut her hair short, very mia farrow, simply gorgeous. now she is back to blah. why? i hope it's for a role, then at least it wasn't her choice.

I do agree with Anne (in Reno); the brunette look is too frumpy for her. Generally I'm an advocate for change, but in this case I'm an advocate for change back.
