Kate Bosworth’s dad was an executive at Talbot’s, and we’ve always wondered why they didn’t hire the actress as their face.
Now it’s too late, as Kate’s been snapped by Coach. Her new ads are the company’s latest in a series of efforts aimed at earning a higher place in the luxury goods market.
Meanwhile, it was reported yesterday that Coach’s shares just hit a six-year low. Is Kate’s face enough to save the hurting company?
Even though the ads are only being published in China, it’s only a matter of time before they pop up stateside (or at least, on the internet) and Kate and Coach will become somewhat synonymous among anyone following fashion.
But is she stylish to help the most boring bags in America survive? Or will Kate’s fashion cred become purely the work of gifted stylists? Stay tuned…

I had no idea Kate's dad was an executive at Talbots! I wonder why she didnt do their ad campaign... This reminds me of when Nicole Richie starred in Lionel Richie's music video a little while ago.
