The persistent warm weather in New York has only enabled our procrastinating and foot dragging on the all-important matter of choosing a winter coat.

But if it ever does get cold around here, we might choose this navy blue puffy jacket from edgy U.K. designer Elliot Atkinson.

Unlike most coats we like, this one actually looks like it might be warm and somewhat water-resistant. But what really sold us on it are the delicate gold chains on the back of the coat!

It’s the perfect balance between warm/cozy/practical and whimisical/fancy/cute.

Until it gets cold out, maybe we’ll steal a styling idea from the lookbook and pair it with the black and white checked shorts (also from Elliot Atkinson’s a/w collection.)
