The latest in cool Keds-y sneakers comes from sporty Swedish label Tretorn, in collaboration with our favorite local Scandiphiles at Opening Ceremony.

We’re excited about these sneakers, because while we’re really into plaid, the idea of a plaid jacket or coat is a little scary to us. The potential disaster of the colors, the overpowering feeling of “oh, you’re going grunge…” - we don’t know if we can handle the commitment.

As for the shoes, the black and white hunter’s plaid is definitely the safest option if you don’t want to sacrifice color in your outfit.

But if you’re brave enough to wear these kicks, you might as well go all-out with some color, you know?
