Serious Black

helena 2.jpg Even though she’s only a few years out of design school, Swedish womenswear designer Helena Horstedt wowed the crowds at Stockholm fashion week, reportedly leaving one local fashion editor in tears.

We like to think of ourself as stoic, but we can understand why Horstedt’s gorgeous pleated, folded, and flounced designs could bring a tear to the eye.

While the palette consists of black, black, and more black - the collection never gets boring, thanks to the innovative structural details and technical forms. As Horstedt put it, ” I want them to build a desire, continuously expand and to surprise the beholder.”

We’re waiting with baited breath for New York stockists to take note, but until then you can contact the designer on her website.

These are absolutely amazing - does anyone know how much Helena commissions for?
