
Mary Kate and Ashley may run with a high fashion crowd, but make no mistake about their intentions:
The girls want their clothing line to catch light across the country.
How else to explain the surprising access they gave USA Today, telling the paper they’ll never act in another joint project, and admitting that sometimes, their clothes aren’t quite right.
When describing a recent appearance at a Christian Louboutin party in LA, Ashley admits “I felt so underdressed…I came in jeans and a T-shirt, and everyone was in these dresses with their hair and makeup done. I had not a stitch of makeup on!”
One might argue that everyone else saw Ashley and felt too done, but still, The story also includes a quote by Annie Leibovitz on Mary Kate’s work ethic, and a confession from MK that fashion is partly a learned quality.
“We’re just starting to get it,” she says, but she’s already learned a key rule of celebrity clothing:
