Tim Gunn says “make it work” a lot, and it seems the style spokesman is taking the motto to heart.
He’ll soon reprise his role as a Project Runway mentor, while also serving as the new chief creative officer of Liz Claiborne. And let’s not forget his other show, Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style, with dazzling Veronica Webb.
But this Fall, the dapper Mr. Gunn has another starring role – as the front man for Macy’s.
He’s now on television, performing in commercials with Martha Stewart, whose new home line just hit the department store.
But Macy’s isn’t a Liz Claiborne company, and neither are Martha’s licensed sheets… which means Liz Claiborne was so desperate for Mr. Gunn’s unique talents, they let him have free reign within their conglomerate.
If only Project Runway would give him the same leeway – whomever decided skeezy Vincent could outlast Alison Kelly ruined half of Season Three!

i love tim gunn, but i hate those macy’s commercials. they remind me of the macys cards taking over my myspace page :(
So does this mean that Stacey London isn’t doing Macy’s anymore?
“dazzling Veronica Webb”? that woman is awful. her face is always 3 shades more orange than her neck and body. im supposed to take fashion advice from her?
If I hear Tim Gunn say, “I love hats” one more time, my Martha Stewart tableware is going to be thrown at the TV screen.
I want one of those bobbleheads!
Alison was just as bad as Vincent, except prettier.
Tim Gunn=Overexposed
I was sick of him in the Jeffrey season. Also, hated that season, and never will watch it ever again.
