Yellowing

There's a lot to love about Aussie label Willow's spring/summer collection - the gorgeous draping, the subtle use of shimmer and sparkle, clever cut-outs, party dresses that refuse to be cutesy...

But what really caught our eye was how the dresses in shiny neutrals - whether beige, silver, or plain black and white - looked really fresh when paired with acid yellow shoes and belts.

The little flash of color from the shoes or a belt buckle is like, "Yeah, I know about the neon thing, but I have my dignity to think about."

Which might be a good thing if you're in your post-clubbing-until-dawn / digital-camera-darling phase, or would like to be by spring 08.

These are so damn cool!
I'm all about the subtle pop of color.

Oh, I love this label! I wonder if anyone in the US carries it? Preferably in TX? ;-)

The belt's ok, not a fan of the shoes though. There's too much yellow around at the moment it's become overkill, especially on the Australian catwalks.
