10 Questions For Project Runway...

Nov 21, 2007 @ 11:25pm

sarah jessica.gif10. So does this mean Bon Jovi isn't this week's special guest judge? Oh man. What about next week?

9. Why didn't Chris tell Sarah Jessica that he was fashion's answer to Nathan Lane? Then she totally would have picked him.

8. Has anyone else noticed that Jack only wears Ben Sherman clothing? We've noticed. We're wondering.

7. Tim does not like Christian. Well, that wasn't a question, but... he doesn't. Maybe because Christian went to Central St. Martins instead of Parsons. Or maybe it's just his aggressively silly haircut.

6. Doesn't Heidi Klum's jewelry, which she wears every episode, look a lot like Van Cleef and Arpel's trademark Alhambra charms?

5. What's with the Bluefly ads?

4. Come on, viewers, would you really trust Tim Gunn's style over Nina Garcia's? Really? Or did they rig the poll to help hype Tim's Guide to Style?

3. Is Elisa the Rodarte of Project Runway?

2. Kevin, why do you keep saying "Thank you" when someone compliments Victorya's dress? You helped sew, but those "omigosh" moments are hurled at your temporary boss.

1. But would Carrie Bradshaw have worn the losing design, that Pocohontas poncho thing? Oh yes, she would have, and she would have thought it was fab-u-lous (or at least fab-u-less).

And now, we need to make some cranberry sauce...

Bummed it wasn't Bon Jovi, but totally still psyched. SJP seemed incredibly gracious. And I agree, I love Tim and I think he does know how to dress a woman, but why would Nina Garcia be ranked so low? Does fashion director of Elle Magazine mean NOTHING? And YES to Heidi Klum's jewelry=Van Cleef and Arpel.

YES! I am so happy other people noticed Heidi's jewelry. I was wondering when I would hear something about it.
Overall I thought this was a good episode but seriously Christina annoys me even if her outfit was great.

The Bluefly ads are über obnoxious! It's because the winner of PR gets their collection to be sold on Bluefly.com

I've been thinking that about Heidi's jewelery since she first starting wearing it 2 years ago. It's really distracting.

i am so glad it was sjp instead of bon jovi. i hate bon jovi with a passion and he has no business on project runway. seeing sjp made me scream a little, but her botox or eye lift was annoying the hell out of me. she looked cute and all, but just not natural.

and i also noticed how jack wears all ben sherman! it's also obvious that they kept christian this episode over the other designer simply because he is more of a tv character. i can't wait for the rest of the season where they weed out the filler characters and you're just left with the designers you love and the designers you hate. --B

I love the bluefly ads. I think they're a great sponsor for the season. Maybe I'm just a sucker for any kind of sex appeal in advertising, but those Louboutins make me swoon.

Christian attended The American Intercontinental University, not CSM.

Christian's penchant for sometimes uncomfortably structured jackets is certainly suspect for CSM...
And the haircut is a little hostile...

I want to like his stuff, it just hasn't happened for me yet.

Christian is just too literal 80s (posted by someone who lived through the 80s and had that awful assymetrical haircut). What's modern is taking influences from other eras and making something new (a la Marc Jacobs). I can't believe that the judges liked his creation! He needs to go.

I would TOTALLY trust Tim's style over Nina's.

Did anyone else think it was odd the SJP was all huffy about being able to see a bra through the poncho, but that you see Carrie Bradshaw's bra in almost every episode of Sex and the City? I mean it to have a visable bra was like a Carrie signature. And not necessarily a good one.

That's because Carrie is a fictional character in a tv show. Sarah Jessica Parker is a real person with real concerns for the retail aspect of her real line Bitten sold at a real store in real life.
