Definitely not Turkey. I went to Istanbul and many other cities in Turkey this summer. It is a huge misconception that Turkey is anything like Saudi Arabia or Iran. Most women do not wear the hejab either.

why no answers for the trivia questions anymore? you guys should put them somewhere in the “secret code” the next day if you’re not going to tell us outright.
anyway, after googling “national dress code” (after no luck with “national uniform”), i found this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Culture_of_Bhutan#National_dress_code
so i guess jacqueminette and jaqueline were right.

It is certainly not Iran–Iran is in actuality a very modern nation, the political puppet Ahmadinejad aside. Jeans may be unacceptable, but middle-class/affluent women are in general very conscious of western fashion, and play fast and loose with the hejab requirements. I’m going with North Korea.
