And About Those Cheap Shoes…

mcqueen mcfab.jpg
As you’re probably aware, Pierre Hardy designed a shoe line for Gap this season.

What you may not know is this:

We hear that Gap’s American office is working on a similar situation for our Gap stores next Spring. We assume the line goes beyond the two-sizes-fit-all flip flops the store releases every summer, and expect someone exciting and excellent to design it.

And yet, we don’t quite know who.

So let’s think:

If Doo.Ri, Thakoon, and Rodarte have worked with Gap in the past year, is there anyone similar in the accessories world? Maybe someone who’s gotten a CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund nod for shoes? Hmm…

Meanwhile, we’re obsessed with these clunkers from Alexander McQueen (left), which would look great with the sweater dress from the Gap Euro collection…

Speaking of comfortable heels, these Cole Haan Nike Airs look sorta similar to the McQueen shoes above.

I think the only shoe designer that comes to mind that has gotten a nod from the CFDA is Edmundo Castillo.
That'd be pretty rad.

They may not be the same as the McQueen shoes, but the price is more realistic.

Who was the shoe designed from Seamless that was up for the CDFA award with Doo.Ri?

Okay, regardless of who designs them, can they PLEASE cut them in a 41/11? Some of us haven't worn size 10s since middle school...
