I deliberately don't go out on on the friday after thanks giving, with all the tourists and people who don't live here coming into the city to shop. Just walking the dog is unplesant. I lounged around the apt and shopped online only because i found something i was looking for and it was 30% off! (LD Tuttle shoe boot slingbacks). Today I bought t shirts from Alternative Apparel because i needed them.

I didn't manage to leave the house, except to grab a few groceries.
I did, however, take advantage of online sales and buy the bf a few presents and a nice basic cardigan for myself. Apple had an online sale, but I restrained myself!

it WAS slow! the only only difference being that regular shoppers were shopping with holiday money (big bills from relatives). so we made more but worked less?

I also did not go shopping on Friday. It's hard enough to brave the traffic and find parking on a normal day. Also, most of the gifts I'm getting for people were purchased online, so I don't have to go to the mall or meander around looking for stuff.

and the best all-time deal, slouchy black tall boots at Nordstroms for only $68!!!

Ok, so I left NYC to visit the parents in Mass. I did get some relatively good finds here at the H&M that I would have never found at H&M in NY; everything was $10.00. And as an aspiring designer, I got a $200.00 dressform for $89.00 at the sewing supply store. I got some great leopard print pony skin/black leather peep-toes on clearance at Marshalls for $20.00. And my Vera Wang dress (for Kohl's, can't afford real Vera yet, although it is a fabulous )for $53.00. Overall, I didn't get any Prada for $9.00 like I wanted to, but I am happy.

I own a shoe boutique in Santa Monica, and we had the best Jean-Michel Cazabat over-the-knee boots for fall. They had a round toe and could be worn slouchy or pulled up over the knee--totally not slutty. We sold out of them, but I'm sure you could google around and find a pair.

On weds I bought a new Mayle dress for $640, then on Friday I bought tights, some steve madden mary janes on sale at Bloomingdale's for $60 and another Mayle dress from the holiday line for $565. I love Mayle. I am just a sucker.
