Today’s New York Sun has an article about how Copenhagen is quickly joining the ranks of Paris, London, and New York as an international fashion capital.
Pia Catton reports:
“But this tiny kingdom has been making a push to ensure that new markets, especially in America, have access to the style and fizz of — yes — Danish fashion. Brands such as By Malene Birger, Casch Copenhagen, Baum und Pferdgarten, Tina Casmose, and Mads Norgaard may not be lining the shelves of Bloomingdale’s just yet. They may not even be pronounceable. They are, however, gaining ground with American retailers — and they’re hard to resist.”
We’ve been crushing hard on Nordic fashion labels and Copenhagen street style for some time now, and we can hardly contain our excitement about the possiblity of finding more Danish desigers in US boutiques.
With all the money we’ll save on international shipping, we can get even more clothes.
We just hope that our favorite younger, edgier Danish labels, like Wood Wood (pictured above), Won Hundred, and Noir don’t get lost in the shuffle.

I just love all the Copenhagen fashion coverage on this site!! The Danes are just so fashion forward and have the most unbelievable personal styles. I know net-a-porter.com carries a few labels such as By Malene Birger and Day, and there's danmarkfashion.com which has a small online collection as well.
Keep the Danish fashions coming!!
And as a suggestion to everyone on the site...if you ever get a chance to go DEFINITELY visit Copenhagen, its amazing!
