Cory Kennedy is the New Face of Urban Decay

cory kennedy is pretty.jpg And you thought the campaign announcements were over for today:

First we break the good/bad news that Victoria Beckham is Marc's new ad muse, and now we've got something else:

Cory Kennedy just signed her first beauty contract with Urban Decay cosmetics.

She'll be their new face for the next year, and her ads will appear in magazines, on billboards and posters, and probably on the makeup counters at Urban Outfitters - where they'll stand alongside her new clothing line.

At this point, all that's left is a Le Sportsac line and a Kid Robot toy, and the girl will officially be a franchise.

We love Cory and we're dying to see what kinds of colors she inspires for the Los Angeles cosmetics line - Internet Indigo? Silver(lake)? Translucent Fairy Dust?

urban decay? i thought they went in to liquidation...no offence because i love cory too but for a beauty campaign? there's going to be a lot of retouching!

She'll be retouched beyond recognition to the point where she looks not like herself. It'll look great as long as it doesnt look like her.

Vom. So don't understand CK's appeal, nor do I have any idea why she's famous. She's a bland, mopey teenager who happens to have some connections. Then again, I suppose that does describe much of Hollywood...

Wow. Urban Decay has hit a new low, not that anyone besides a bunch of drag queens uses that glittery awful stuff. Seriously I tried out their glittery gel eyeshadow @ Sephora when it came out this year and the little glitter bits got into my eyes throughout the day and were impossible to wash out.

CLEARLY a well thought out idea! :-\ Just like this one.

I was hoping Cory's reign of terror would be over by now, but apparently not. Shouldn't she be trying to finish high school? Where are her parents? So many unanswered questions.

Wait...urban decay still exists?!

ohsweetheart...cory's parents tried to reign in her unexplainable fame/ party girl behavior by sending her to some kind of boarding school/program (rehab?) with limited internet/phone access last winter but I don't think it went according to plan as she was home and back on the scene within a matter of weeks.

lol agreed. Granted, the girl is pretty, but how is she endorsing a make-up brand when she hardly even wears any? And a clothing line? For God's sake...
