If you’re not one of the 300 people allowed inside H&M to shop their Cavalli collection first, here’s some news from the inside:
*The line still stretches around the block.
*Jessica Stam is currently standing on H&M’s escalator, in the Cavalli for H&M leopard-print gown, watching the mayhem and smiling (somewhat) for photos.
*The first few hundred shoppers got gift bags while waiting in line. They contained an autographed photo of Roberto Cavalli, a t-shirt (black for men, leopard print for women), and an H&M gift card that was worth anywhere from $5 to $300.
*There have been three actual fights for dresses so far, and mannequins in the windows and on the store floor are getting stripped of their clothes.
Guess our “Catfights – no! Cat prints – yes!” missive of yesterday went totally unheeded…
