We Watch for the Models

PRunway Models.JPGEveryone's been talking about the upcoming Project Runway, mostly about how the designers seem to actually have experience this year.


Our eyes, however, are glued to the "Meet the Models" page on the Bravo site.

We checked them out. We summed them up. They're cute if not a little old.

The facts: two have already graduated from Tufts University, three are from Massachusetts and another three are from New York City. Most of them are between 21 and 28 years of age, and just a handful of them cannot yet legally order a drink.

Lofty goals like wanting to star in a "Dior, Chanel or Gucci ad" are mentioned by a few that should have probably started their careers at least five years ago.

Our favorites? Marcia's cheekbones cast a shadow on her own face and the blue of Lauren's eyes don't really look real.

Sam is our favorite though- the lucky designer paired with this red-headed model automatically gets our vote. And at 19, she might be the only model on here with a chance at a real career post-Runway.

Sam is definitely the best out of the bunch. She has really cool hair as well!

Chloe Dao's redheaded model two seasons ago was my favorite!

Perhaps they had some problems in the past with younger models? Melissa from Season 1 was 15 going on 35. Remember when Richard Johnson from Page 6 hit on her? Ick. She probably wasn't a trouble maker herself, but there may have been other issues.

I think Katie is cuter. She's only 18 too.
Sam's hair is really cool, but her face is very plain.

On facebook Lauren Browne sent all of her friends an event invite being like don't forget to watch me on project runway! I'm one of the models!

They originally hired around 22 girls, and ended up cutting a few after they realized that it was way too many. I was one of the ones cut, and it was pretty sad, because they called very last minute (at about 9PM the night before the first day of filming) to send over the bad news. So, I should be up there (in spirit! Haha.)

SO SAD! But I will be watching avidly, as usual.

firstly, i think most casted models arent really thaaat stunning, including heidi but i agree, the only one that could potentially work in the fashion industry would be sam.
when heidi did germanies next topmodel last year another red head won although she just showed up at the casting to support her friend. pretty girl. but not wow... et viola.. the link..
