But you saw the matronly dress she was wearing, right? It looked like a lace that needed a slip.

My thoughts exactly, I thought that whole scene was ridiculous, but the slip just made it worse.

Just a quick question: Will there be any more Girls Gone Styled videos? I really enjoy them, and would be disappointed if they were discontinued...

Are you kidding? Its so glamorous to wear a slip and its a tv show where anything goes as we clearly saw in this episode.

I wear slips under my dresses all the time, it's completely realistic if not practical.

maybe if more people wore the proper undergarments there would be less crack and nipple sightings and sexy would be about mystery again...
i for one, generally wear a slip with any dress that is not lined. then again, i also wear proper stockings with seams a lot of the time too.

I have that dress but in black. It's Marc Jacobs and the top lace part of the bodice is lined.
I bought it for a wedding I'm going to and I was having serious second thoughts because it is kind of matronly - when I saw that Gossip Girls episode and was highly amused.
I'm old enough to be Blair's mother, though.

I'm 20 and I wear slips! Not all the time, but if I feel like being a bit more girly and fun than usual. I have one with a ruffled bottom that looks super cute peeking out from under a simple dress.

I thought the slip was totally cute! I wear slips all the time. I also like that even when Blair was being slutty, she still had enough class to not be naked. I think a slip can be a very sexy undergarment. I know my boyfriend agrees.

I don't know but what I do know is that I'm in love with the giant red bow-headband that she wore in the beginning of the episode. It was so over-the-top but amazing!

she's only wearing a slip because victoria's secret is one of the main sponsors of the show. that's also why the characters spend all day hanging out at home in bathrobes and lingerie.

I haven't seen this show (I'm in London, England) but I just wanted to add that when I was in high school, I wore a lot of slips - as dresses! :)

every time i watch gossip girls and see blair in a slip i think about how unrealistic it is for most women to wear them (rich or not). especially high school juniors!
