Jessica Stam in Cavalli for H&M The Telegraph has a fun incident involving Linzi Stoppard, a British socialite and musician recently busted in the dressing room at H&M.
The London violinist was so taken with a Cavalli for H&M dress that when she saw it hanging in another shopper’s dressing room, she promptly stormed in and took it for herself.
What’s really funny, at least to us, is that the dress was priced at $400 – hardly a must-have bargain! In fact, we suspect if Linzi patrolled Net-a-Porter or even most department stores in London, she could find a real Cavalli dress, albeit on sale, for about the same price.
Still, the silly story brings up an interesting moral dilemma:
Is it ever okay to pillage someone else’s shopping loot? When?
Think about that, then memorize this face, and if you ever see Ms. Linzi Stoppard – who is, according to her website, “what Dita Von Teese is to ballet” – hold tight to your over-hyped rayon halter gowns, and beware.

OMG that is like a mortal fashion sin and would give you the worst karma ever. But, I do think that it is OK to ask someone if you can have something if they decide they don’t want it. But, you might have to play some mind games, like pretending you don’t REALLY want it…

Also- what happened to Girls Gone Styled? You guys are so cute, you need to do another one!

“what Dita Von Teese is to ballet”
ie. nothing? haha.

I have totally stawked someone who was trying on “the last one in my size”. I especially get pissed if she is not that size and chances are she’ll either bust it or stretch it out. I just give the cold-stare till she’s given up and tossed it back.
BTW, that chick needs to stop plucking and teasing.

OMG it is never okay to steal from someone else’s dressing room while they’re not in it! Of course, it is Cavalli for H&M, super limited edition (right?), but still… Hopefully whoever had get it initially had already tried it on and decided not to get it!
